So after a long and terrible trip with SJ (was some issues along the rail, so a trip that usually takes 2 hours took 6 hours instead), I was finally home to open my letter. It was a tense moment, but once open I was able to relax. According to the paper, I was accepted into Nackademin to read Nätsystem (networks). Hopefully it will live up to my expectations.. :D

The wait is soon over..

Last week I got a call from Nackademin about my application. Apparently they wanted to meet me (and of course all other applying for a spot) and make a quick group interview. That was all that was revealed on the phone call, so wasn’t really sure what would await me when I get there.

Anyway, today was the big day. So to make sure I get there in time, I took abit earlier train (I don’t trust SL abit with all the delays recently). Apparently I got there pretty much 30 minutes before my meeting, so I was asked to join an earlier interview which was fine with me (the sooner it would be done!). Once inside, I realized it was just going to be me and one other guy and of course the teacher (or whatever he was). This was a huge ease, I’d been imagining talking in front of 15-20 people. The interview itself went okay, his questions was very open so anything you said was pretty much right. By the ending, he revealed they will be doing the selections this evening, so we should expect an answer to my application by tomorrow or at latest Friday… Bah, now I’m getting nervous again! ;)

A very good friend of mine (you should know her as Jennula) just got out of her 3 year long education to become a game graphicartist. For her examproject, she created a short movie (around 8 minutes if I’m not misstaken) all by her self. The result was way better than I could have imagined. Not that she usually create bad stuff, but that she could pull off a movie like this in the small timeperiod she had is just amazing.

She mainly concentrated on the animations, but the graphics itself aint lacking far behind. Voices are in Swedish, so might be a more exciting experience for someone from Sweden. See the full movie at her Studio Jennula website.

Also if you are looking for a graphic artist with Maya experience for any game, movie or other project; you know where to find her. :)
