I’ve been doing some reading up on different implementation guidelines offered by the bigger Creditcard companies like VISA and MasterCard. One funny and a bit annoying thing I noticed was that they both recommend totally different things. Mastercard SecureCode tries to show all benefits and simplicity of having a popup to enter your additional details. Verified by VISA recommends the opposit; to keep everything on the same page to avoid hassles with popupblockers.

In this small battle, I think I prefer VISAs method, but I’ll give you my final opinion once I implemented them both.. (if ever. :))
