Back from hell!

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006

It’s been a hell sleeping the last couple days, the heat in our bedroom was over 30 degrees celsius (86 degrees fahrenheit) the last nights. To solve this, we have desperatly been trying to find a reasonable priced aircondition to atleast tackle some of the heat. It seems more than we have this issue; we looked in over 10 stores for low to mid range airconditioners and all was sold out. Today my partner finally found one on his way home from his business trip and we have temporary up and running to finally get a good night sleep..

Båt (Bott) VS Bot

Friday, June 9th, 2006

People in Sweden (and also in Denmark and Norway as far as I know) have recently been buggered not only on the internet but now also the radiostations by a song called “Boten Anna” (click to see video). It’s a swedish DJ called Basshunter who created the song about an IRC bot (a programmed “robot” to ban/kick when needed). The problem with this is that alot of people pronounces Bot as Båt (or Bott) which is swedish for Boat.

This have lead to a guy called Perra (former Mircwar) made a remix of the song called Asshunter – Det heter faktiskt B O T. It’s downloadable from his site (along with other nice songs) all for free.

A very good friend of mine (you should know her as Jennula) just got out of her 3 year long education to become a game graphicartist. For her examproject, she created a short movie (around 8 minutes if I’m not misstaken) all by her self. The result was way better than I could have imagined. Not that she usually create bad stuff, but that she could pull off a movie like this in the small timeperiod she had is just amazing.

She mainly concentrated on the animations, but the graphics itself aint lacking far behind. Voices are in Swedish, so might be a more exciting experience for someone from Sweden. See the full movie at her Studio Jennula website.

Also if you are looking for a graphic artist with Maya experience for any game, movie or other project; you know where to find her. :)

Rain calls for spammers?

Friday, June 2nd, 2006

Been getting ALOT of spam in my blog recently. Luckily I got a plugin for wordpress called akismet to battle most of the spam and it has done a GREAT job. During the last period of time (about 2 weeks or so), it has stoped over 850 spam comments on this blog. A theory of mine is that they have nothing else to do now when it’s been raining for about 2 weeks straight. About 2 days ago, it also “hailed” (is that the right word?). Tried to catch it with my webcam, got great picture on computer but doubt it’s visible from the compression of YouTube.
