I just quit my job

Thursday, May 25th, 2006

That’s it, it’s finally done; I quit my job. I’m thinking of going back to school, but inorder to do this I need to quit my job (and that means I loose my steady income). I’ve been tumbling back and forth deciding if it’s the right thing to do, but today I called my boss up and gave her the story. So now I’m officially unemployed by the end of July.. ;)

By then I should know if my application got accepted – otherwise I need to start looking for a new job. This time closer to Stockholm for sure. ;)

Starbucks Interview done

Thursday, May 25th, 2006

Me visiting Starbucks in CyprusGot an email two days ago from a girl called Denise in U.S.A. She worked on a paper for her school and was looking for some input from someone in Sweden. Of course I was glad to help, so she sent over some questions for me to answer. It involved a possible launch of Starbucks in another country and her job was to check the market in Sweden. All this was just for the school, so don’t get too excited that we might get Starbucks in Sweden anytime soon. All questions are now answered and looking back at what I wrote, I’m quite shocked my replies was so long. :) Lets hope Denise is happy for what I sent her.

New webcam, but same weird Pate

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

Saw some videos on YouTube showing off some weird and crazy effects on their webcams. Found out this was a feature in Logitechs newer quickcam series (Fusion, Orbit, 5000 and such). Since it was my birthday recently and I got some money to spend on some unnecessary things, I purchased myself a Quickcam Fusion.

Even thou I still feel odd infront of a camera, my plan is to switch some of my “boring text messages to video entries instead. For now, I’ll start out by showing of some effects and goofing around like always.

Back from Macbeth

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

My partner surprised me yet again with a theater show and this time we took on another classic by same writer, Macbeth by William Shakespeare. According to the theaters webpage this play is a bit heavier to grasp than “King Lear” and I can only agree. It started with a 5-10 min introduction about how noble Macbeth was but after this it’s a loooong way down. Rest of the play is very dark and depressing, so be sure you are in the right mood before you see it.

Overall it was a great performance and all did a great job on stage. The butler played by Börje Ahlstedt had the funniest lines along with some great acting and this gave him some extra applause at the ending. What also shocked me was that one of the two female actors (Lene Endre) walked out nude on stage – only with blood covering her “private” parts. It was a weird scene and I bet noone in the audience was prepared for it… nasty! :p

Now it’s my turn!

So recently I’ve been writing posts congratulating my friends on their birthdays, but today is MY day. ;) I’m turning 23 so it’s not such big of a deal, life will keep going just like the way it did when I was 22. I’m off for some cake.. Yummy!
