Some sad news..

Saturday, March 18th, 2006

Last thursday was an awful day. Got a call from my very close friend Jens sister who had some very sad news to announce. Her brother (and my friend) had passed away earlier that day. At first I was just shocked, but after a while I started to realize what this really meant and I just got depressed and sad.

Jens was a fantastic young man with alot of humour and a fantastic mind. Even thou we never had a chance to meet (because of some distance and some personal factors) in person, we had daily contact on the net or on the phone for the last 4-5 years I think. He usually started our conversation with a nice and funny song, with words he just made up in a matter of seconds. After this we usually went on ranting about daily stuff with our almost extreme opinions about anything that came to our minds. He also wrote alot of texts where he expressed alot of his opinions and thoughts around certain reallife matters, but instead using his fantasy figures like vampires and werewolves, to do it for him.

I can’t express how much you will be missed, my life won’t be the same without you. Take care of yourself whereever you end up..

My friends decided to check out mine and my partners new house and at the same time celebrate Jennulas 23rd birthday. We all came here on friday, except for Hell that came on early saturday morning. Since I’d been working in Ockelbo, I joined one of them and we took the train together to Stockholm. To our supprise it was the new double-decker train that was waiting for us in Gavle. It’s fairly new and it was an overall nice experience, however it was abit tight for the legs.Once in Stockholm, Jenny had a date with one of her internetfriends so I followed her around to try to guide her to the spot they decided. This ended up being harder than we imagined, so I had to call my partner to check out the map on the internet for us. However we got there after a bit of walking, but it was all good since Jenny was happy to meet with her date and we had about 2 hours to kill before Jennula and Petter arrived to Stockholm from Skövde.

After a good sleep, we went into town to meet up with Hell. Jenny had some business to take care of, so the rest of us decided to spend some time looking at some stores. I didn’t find much, but Jennula and Petter was both happy since they found some comics they had been looking for. Hell found some leathergloves without fingertips (just so she can look “cool”) and proudly said this was real good gloves to keep the hands warm – logic girl, huh? ;) Anyway, we wen’t home after about 3 hours of shopping since it had been snowing all day and we started to get hungry (at least I did). :)

We ended the saturday evening with some presents for Jennula and some cake of course. The TV was on with the “Melodifestivalen”, but as usual the wrong song won again. Hell and Jennula had another opinion and was happy to see “The poodles” go to the finals..

Had a great time as usual and hopefully they all got home safely yesterday evening!

I’m famous!

Just got an email about a service called SiteAdvisor going from beta to their first public release. It’s a great addon to your browser (both Firefox and Internet Explorer) which checks the sites you visit against a big database of known “sketchy” URLs and alerts you about it. This is done directly on the search page and also in the bottom of your browser. The checks it does includes email spam, phishing, spyware downloads and such.

Anyway, I was selected to join their beta tests a couple months ago (I guess it was kinda like an open beta) and now I’m thanked on their credits page. :) Find my name at the fifth column abit further down the page.
