Administration of patGal
So, I think I got most of the basics of patGal ready, but the most important functions still remains to do; The upload part. So far I’ve came up with two ideas for this, either in wp-admin or directly in the gallery (once logged in). Both has it’s benefits, so to me this is a hard choice. Either way it will have some options in wp-admin for settings like paths, thumbsettings and also design. Please use comments in this post or the contact page to send me personally.

I prefer the thought of an upload tab in the normal wp-admin interface, be it a main tab or a sub-tab of one of the sections. I don’t like the thought of a separate area for the gallery image uploads (I think that’s what you were hinting at); it just doesn’t seem as accessible or intuitive as it could be.
For those wishing to upload things to their gallery and then write a post about their recent additions, it would be more, like I said, intuitive to have all of those options close together in the wp-admin. At least, that’s my take on it!

Well, I think that people will adapt to both admin-systems, but the wordpress-admin has the main advantages that you only have to login once. But then on the other hand, the WordPress admininterface is pretty heavy to load…

Well, both methods would only require one login and that’s to the wp-admin like normal. Was thinking of putting the uploadpart right in the gallery (if you are logged in and got right permission), but I think I will put it in wp-admin after all.

I left a comment ages ago on Wordpress Plugin Competiton Blog and checked back often but no news. Eventually I found your site and to my delight you are still developing patGal. Really looking forward to trying it out soon. (Though it has been over a month since your last update)

Glad to see you are still checking up on me, I need this kind of encouragement to keep the development going. I was acctually working on it right now and it seems I got the adding feature ready soon.
