Changes in patGal
Even thou I didn’t get it in for the contest, the project is still alive. However I have been thinking abit about it and I will add a functionality I haven’t seen in a webgallery yet. However the feature I am talking about is taking over pretty much all photoorganizers on the market. What I’m talking about is tags instead of categories.
This means you can add a picture with multiple tags to get better searching options as well as a nicer structure. I’m aware that some users only want categories and with this method they still can. They only have to add one tag to each picture and the gallery will work just as any gallery software out there. Only thing remaining is how I will build the structure. Maybe make it like a normal category based gallery, but make another “tag index” where you be more specific about what pictures you want. If you got any suggestions or ideas, you know what to do. ![]()

Well I think most of us hungry wordpress users would rather see more releases than “new functions”-post

I understand the feeling, but I want to have the basics of patGal done correct from the beginning, otherwise it will be hassle to change from current to new structure. I doubt this change will delay patGal that much further. Only thing left before release is this and the most important thing, how to upload images. Check new post on mainpage to give some feedback on one of the choices I’m thinking of.

This has now been applied to the gallery. Was a quick addition and according to me makes the gallery more flexible.
